PADI Open Water (O/W):
If you are 15 or older, in good health, reasonably
fit and comfortable in the water you are eligible to
train for the PADI Open Water certification. (Junior
Open Water minimum age 10 years).
You will be under the instruction of one of our
experienced instructors for the 4 – 5 day course. In
that time, the instructor will guide you through the
basics of diving equipment and the fundamental
theory and skills of scuba diving. The programme
includes basic knowledge lessons and five confined
water skills sessions, and rounds off with four open
water dives to demonstrate simple techniques, and to
put them into practice in the sea. A maximum depth
limit of 18m is specified for the qualification, a
restriction that is reduced to 12m for Junior O/W.
Once you have successfully completed the course you
will receive your
PADI Open Water certification and a license, which
is recognised all over the world. You are on your
way!
After earning your first qualification, the next
step, and the best way to enjoy the adventure to the
full, is to
-
Learn specialised skills appropriate to your
personal interests.
-
Develop greater confidence in and around the water
-
Perfect advanced skills that give the freedom to
experience this unique world
-
Acquire a better understanding of the aquatic
world
Easily the quickest and safest way to achieve all
of these is to take the next step in PADI’s
programme.
